Rebuilding and Revitalizing Communities Ravaged by Warfare

Baruch College in collaboration with Women Beyond Survival. The event will take place on zoom on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 between the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be an auction that people will be able to bid on. All of the proceeds from the auction and bingo will go directly to Women Beyond Survival (tax deductible.) The name of the event is called R.I.S.E. (Women will rise up in spite of oppression.) The Baruch College youth that put this together are as follows: Riya Sawant, Vice-President of Fund Raising; Hillary Setyo, Co-Chair. The other team members are: Dorothy Nasir, Yura Shin, Abigail Garcia Vazquez, and Juliya Martchiuk. Other team members are: Shaurya Taparia, Joyce Jin, Naya Robinson, and Sanjna Puri. The song "Rise Up" was written and sung by Terrilee Butler. Safiyya Sarkin, President and Founder of WBS will be one of the speakers. This is to show the world that women will overcome any hardship, and go from survive to thrive.
